The world premiere of Miriam: Home Delivery introduced audiences to an intimate portrait of homebirth midwifery, following Miriam as she travelled across New York City to support expectant mothers. From families within the Orthodox Jewish community to a dramatic home birth during the Hurricane Sandy blackout, the film highlighted a profession once central to childbirth but now increasingly rare in the hospital era.
This premiere screening was co-presented with Every Mother Counts.
